From September 20th to 22nd, the "Guangdong Global" China (South Africa) Trade Expo was held in Johannesburg, South Africa. The Guangdong Provincial Department of Commerce organized more than 140 Guangdong companies to participate in the exhibition and promote the Guangdong brand in Africa, achieving good results.

This year marks the 25th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and South Africa and the BRICS "Year of South Africa". Guangdong has been the largest province in my country's trade with South Africa for many years in a row. It is reported that the China (South Africa) Trade Expo has been successfully held for 6 times and is an important platform for business exchanges and cooperation between China and South Africa. This exhibition is organized under the guidance of the Guangdong Provincial Department of Commerce, with an exhibition area of over 15,000 square meters. The exhibited products are very popular in South Africa. About 15,000 buyers attended the exhibition in the three days, and the intended transaction volume of Guangdong enterprises exceeded 200 million yuan.

According to reports, this exhibition adopts a two-line integrated innovative service model of physical exhibition + Internet services. Help exhibitors gain an in-depth understanding of the South African market prospects and opportunities, and provide diversified services for both exhibitors and consumers. Establish an online "digital overseas exhibition hall" to achieve rapid matching and negotiation between buyers and sellers.

This exhibition consists of six major professional exhibitions, including the Electric Power and New Energy Exhibition, Industrial Machinery Exhibition, Building Materials and Home Decoration Exhibition, Home Appliances and Consumer Electronics Exhibition, Textile and Clothing Exhibition, and Home Furnishing Gifts Exhibition. The South African Energy Forum will be held at the same time. Guangdong has tailored four major regional brands, including "Foshan Building Materials", "Zhongshan Home Appliances", "Shenzhen New Energy" and "Dongguan Energy Storage", for exhibitors and promoted them to the South African market. Electric power and new energy enterprises in our province performed well, and their exhibits were deeply loved by on-site purchasers, with intention to transact nearly 100 million yuan.

"We negotiated on-site and received energy storage orders from local schools, with an intended amount of US$2.6 million. This exhibition helped the company build brand awareness. Next, we are preparing to enter South Africa, and the next step is to participate in the 'Guangdong Trade Global' Dubai exhibition." said Li Xiaoning, general manager of Dongguan Haineng New Energy Technology Co., Ltd.

Foshan Nanhai Senhu Photoelectric Technology Co., Ltd. mainly produces solar inverters. "The transaction volume at the exhibition was US$200,000, and an intended order of US$1.5 million was reached." Yu Wenbo, the company's general manager, said that about 300 interested buyers were contacted at the exhibition, most of which were large buyers.

The reporter learned that this year, the Guangdong Provincial Department of Commerce plans to hold 243 "Guangdong Trade Global" overseas exhibitions in 37 countries and regions around the world. So far, 129 have been successfully held, supporting more than 10,000 companies to go overseas to grab orders and boost foreign trade. Stable and optimized structure.
